its that time of year again

every year, just when we are starting to get ghostly pale and are beginning to pack on the first of the hibernation pounds a one hour 'holiday' special is released that makes us fine ladies consider getting extensions and purchasing the entire set of guerlain's terracotta bronzing collection.  

the victoria's secrete fashion show is all about glitz, glam and goddess like women. i can only dream of walking on that diamond encrusted catwalk. so lets just lay it all out there, im a huge fan. although this production is mostly about tna i think that the set and costume design is fantastic, the production technique and energy is outstanding and it achieves its final goal in a poignant and seductive way: make $$$. after i watch this show in just less then i weeks time i will be running to my local boudoir and getting all kinds of diamond encrusted, neon laced and bedazzled undergarments for no one to see but myself. sexy factor 1000. 

so here you are, the highlights. and if you feel the need to watch the entire thing it is displaying in 6 days time, next tuesday eve. 

in honor of the show i will be curling my hair to the perfect wave, applying a shimmerly glow to my entire body and wearing my most extreme push-up. i need my gym membership back.

shelter from the storm

its hard to be in the city all the time. people are always on the go and have serious anxiety caused by fear of missing out syndrome. as a full fledged city girl i have had to find ways to cope with the rushed pace of urban life. when it seems like my life is being lived without me and that ive lost all notion as to what i am even doing, i need quiet. i have found the perfect antidote to this whirl wind feeling, a visit to an oasis. located smack dab in the middle of downtown toronto is allen gardens. this little piece of heaven is like a vacation in a greenhouse. i dont have a cottage, chalet or country home, but for me, this little haven is a place of calm and flowery delight.
